Release Date Changes With Sega’s recent statement about the possible release date of PSOv2, retailers (namely GameStop) have listed it with a tentative November 2001 release date. This is somewhat ironic because it would allow Sega to have a concurrent release of PSOv2 for both the GameCube and the Dreamcast (PSO2 -tentative title- is a scheduled launch title for the GC). Though allowing PSOv2 to release so late will be sure to disappoint fans, the possibility of a simultaneous release is interesting indeed! In other news, Lufia: The Legend Returns has been delayed until late August, though Natsume USA has not confirmed this. This comes as no surprise, though, because it will be as close a simultaneous release with Japan as Natsume can pull off. Taito will be releasing Lufia: The Legend Returns (Named Estpolis Denki: Yomigaeru Densetsu) in Japan on September 7th. Finally, Squaresoft is releasing Final Fantasy Chronicles two weeks earlier than was first anticipated. According to GameStop and EBGames, Final Fantasy Chronicles will ship later this week! (OO!) So now all you Chrono Trigger fans (or those who never had a change to become one) can play your precious Chrono Trigger on the PlayStation in less than a week! |
