Retro Reviews

I like retro reviews, I like them very much. They remind me of how far we've come from the early days of video games to today. These reviews also help give perspective, so that we aren't as biased by nostalgia: yes, there were crappy games back then.

Two of these crappy games, or so editor Dancin' Homer asserts, were Interplay's J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings: Volume One, and Westwood Studios' Young Merlin, both for the SNES.

Now regardless of how you remember these two unique titles (and yes, I played both of them back in the day), or even if you don't remember them at all, you should definitely check out these two reviews, as they're well written and, as usual, quite entertaining. Find out the gory secrets of J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings: Volume One here, and Young Merlin here.
