Final Fantasy X New Info & Media!Less than three months before the scheduled release for Final Fantasy X, Square has finally officially unveiled the first pictures and character info. In a previous update we had some information on the two main characters, whose names are now officially Tidus and Yuna (tentatively spelled Teeda and Yuuna before). We now have some renders for both characters, along with the first five screen shots.We also have some information from the FFX story introduction page at PlayOnline.com. The identities of the speakers aren't very clear, but it would seem that the person speaking in quotation marks is Tidus and the other one is the narrator. An evil entity is also brought up in this short, unclear introduction. "Shin" appears to be some kind of demon or possibly a natural disaster(?). The first speaker is obviously talking about Yuna, whose summoning powers seem to be playing a key part in the world's fate, as it was previously hinted at. Judge for yourself, with this rough translation of the introduction: "I'm going to defeat 'Shin'. I will defeat him without fail." 'Shin', a great disaster people are hanging to. "Isn't she pathetic, with her famous parents and all." The one who can defeat 'Shin' is the one who possesses the Ultimate Summon spell, which only Summoners can have. "She finally realized that it is a reality she can't escape." |
