Grandia II Hits Stores Nationwide

Game Art's most recent masterpiece, Grandia II, recently shipped to North American stores just in time for the holiday season. Hailed as one of the prettiest RPGs to date, Grandia II utilizes Dreamcast's smooth polygon pushing power to create extremely detailed real-time characters and environments. Much of the game mechanics match its predecessor, but seem more polished this time around.

Along with one GD-ROM, Grandia II comes packaged with a twelve-track music selection CD, different from the seven-track "Grandia II ~Melodia~" soundtrack packaged with the limited edition import.

The Grandia series originated on Sega Saturn, but first made its way to North America when Grandia was released by Sony on PlayStation. The game gained a reputation for a poor translation and dismal voice acting, but Ubi Soft promised a much higher quality localization for the sequel.

Expect to see domestic reviews in a few weeks. Until then, feel free to browse past coverage, which includes one import review, a gigantic assortment of pictures, and two soundtrack reviews.
