Releases and Delays

Sega of Japan has just announced that Eternal Arcadia, originally scheduled for a September 14th release, has been delayed until October 5th. The reason for the delay isn't known yet, but it will sure give DC RPG fans a rest, with all the DC RPGs being released in September.

Lunar 2: Eternal Blue will not hit American shores this summer after all. The game has been delayed until November 2000. Working Designs is currently in the process of fixing a number of bugs and adding improvements to the game. The company has also announced a PS2 title to be released on October 26th, the day of the Playstation 2's launch. The title of this game remains unknown but the fact it isn't under the "SPAZ" label seems to indicate it might be an RPG.

Atlus' monster breeding GBC RPG Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Children - Black Book and Red Book have finally received a release date too. Both games will hit Japanese retailers on November 17th.

As for Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon, it has just been announced for a November 10th release, with a price of 4,500 yen (about $40).

Following Grandia's re-release, Wild Arms 2nd Ignition is going to get the The Best label treatement as well. The game will be available again in Sony's The Best collection on August 24th for 2,800 yen.

Curious to see what True Love Story 3 will look like on the Playstation 2? Well, you can check out 4 early screen shots here (from Famitsu). Fans of Kouji Matsuda will be pleased that he is still doing the art in this installment.

The Nintendo Space World '00 show will be held from August 25th to 27th. Other than Grandia: Parallel Trippers, a number of Nintendo platform RPGs will be shown, such as Wizardry I, II and III, Star Ocean: Blue Sphere, Devil Children, Bokujou Monogatari GB 3 (Harvest Moon GB 2), Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon, Zelda: Acorn of the Mystical Tree. Since it's Nintendo, there will be a Pokémon booth, and you'll be able to get Pokémon Gold/Silver's #251 phantom Pokémon, Seleby! Gamers may remember how Nintendo had done the same and distributed #151 Mew in certain Game shows.
