Saturday News!As announced a few days ago, the Dreamcast remake of Sakura Taisen 2 will be out on September 21st in Japan, for a price of 5,800 yen for the regular edition, and 7,800 for the limited edition. This limited edition will contain an exclusive Sakura Puru Puru Pack (vibration pack), and a playable demo of Sakura Taisen 3!Although Square has discouraged magazines and sites from posting walkthroughs of FFIX, they've opened a Hint section on their official website PlayOnline. You can check the hints here. Sega has revealed the contents of the special edition of Eternal Arcadia, which will retail for 9,800 yen (as opposed to the 6,800 yen regular edition). The limited edition will come with a "gorgeous visual book", a mascot cell phone strap, and a skull bracelet (yikes!). Both editions will be released on September 24th. Although the masses of customers were curiously absent on the eve of Final Fantasy IX's first day of sale, fans started to show up later in the night, craving either FFIX or the PS-one, the re-designed Playstation that was being released on the same day. Famitsu.com covered the event hour after hour, taking pictures of shops in Akihabara (video game area in Tokyo) as the night before the release went on. A few minutes before the key hour, President of Square Mr. Suzuki made a surprise appearance in the Tsutaya store of Shibuya, to go salute the fans!
To conclude this Saturday news update, here are the RPG sales of the week of June 26th to July 2nd. Sales figures include both regular and limited editions.
