Sunday NewsSega of America will be showing Eternal Arcadia, Phantasy Star Online, and Shen Mue in English at this year's E3. Yu Suzuki will also be on hand during the convention. An English Koudelka will be shown at this year's E3 by Infogames. The game was originally to be published by SNK, as it was in Japan, but Infogames now has the rights to it. Weekly Famitsu gave Breath of Fire IV for the Playstation an 8, 8, 8, 7 and EverGrace for the Playstation 2 a 7, 7, 8, 6. Zelda: Mask of Majora received scores of 9, 9, 9, 10. The game is scheduled for release in Japan on April 27th, for 6800 yen ($65.27 in U.S. dollars). Although this is just a rumor at this point since Microsoft has denied at least attempting to purchase Square Soft in Japan, quite a few details have shown up. First, negotiation for Square Soft has supposedly been going on since September of last year. Microsoft had offered 200,000,000,000 yen ($1,889,000,000 in U.S. dollars), but it was turned down by Square. Afterwards, Microsoft set their eyes on Namco. Apparently they're trying to get the major developers in Japan to form a new company just for sole development for X-Box and also to lure developers away from other systems. This plan also has failed. Yet another rumor is that the Final Fantasy Movie will exceed the production cost of Shen Mue, which is estimated at 7,400,000,000 yen ($69,890,040 in U.S. dollars), compared to Shen Mue's 7,000,000,000 yen ($66,112,200). Is anyone all that surprised though? The Final Fantasy Movie is due for a simultaneous Japanese and American release summer of 2001.
