Enix Media

Enix announced their U.S. line-up, but many might wonder what some of these games look like. For this reason, we decided to provide you with media from two of the lesser-known titles.

First, we have the GBC version of Dragon Quest 1&2. It has enhanced graphics from the original NES games, but this GBC remake is partially an adaptation of the SNES version of Dragon Quest 1&2. The GBC version also has new cutscenes added to the beginning of each game, which wasn't included in the SNES version. The best thing about this game may very well be the fact that these two excellent RPGs combined into one cartridge can go with you anywhere and provide higher quality RPG experiences than most portable RPGs can promise. We have 23 DQ1 screen shots and 34 DQ2 screen shots from the GBC version and, for the sake of comparision, we have a few screen shots from the SNES version as well. Keep in mind, however, that the SNES version is not coming to the U.S.

Finally, we have Toruneko no Daibouken 2 (this game will be called Torneko: The Last Hope in the U.S.) screen shots, artwork, packaging, and player's guide. This DQ sidequest combines many familiar gaming elements and characters in the series with dungeon exploration and tons of items. It also features "clay-based stop-motion animation" which is a step away from conventional full-motion video.

The above is just a taste of these games. We hope to bring you translated media as soon as it's available.
