Innocent Tears Info and PicturesTo be released in two months time (a May 25th date) on the Japanese Dreamcast, is a dramatic simulation RPG called 'Innocent Tears'. It's being developed by Global A Entertainment and will be published by Hiromi. At RPGFan we now have screen shots, character artwork, and even several views of a model figure and some little animations to show.In appearance this looks to be like a cross between Shenmue, D2 and Black Matrix. Innocent Tears takes place in a near-future representation of Tokyo, after an apocalypse has ocurred and upset the sky, and wreaked hovoc on the landscape. The city is now populated with angels, some good, some evil. The bad angels will hunt and devour people while the good ones try to protect them. An angel named Haruaki is our hero. His task is to try and save the soul of his girlfriend Kagari, a good angel that now works for evil. Haruaki can gather a team of fighting angels to aid him. Up to ten willing characters can be found, with a maximum group of five with Haruaki being possible. Combat is based around being capable of a certain number of actions during each turn, such as moving, attacks, and spells, like many strategy battle games such as the sprite-based Black Matrix which this resembles. The 3D graphics make for moody looking backdrops, but the characters retain very anime-like characteristics. The designs are by Hiroyuki Utatane (responsible for the manga 'Seraphic Feather'), and have been given a full 3D appearance in-game, complete with beautiful transparent wings. Japanese retail price is 6,800 yen. Feena, who has helped in gathering both news and pics for this update, has also taken a look at the cast list for this game. Check it out below, and note the presence of Commodore Wheeler and Sumire Kanzaki! Japanese 'seiyuu' are also employed to speak whenever the RPGFan staff have something audible to say as well, it's true. Honestly.
