Tueday's News BitsAwhile back a story was posted about Capcom's upcoming bimonthly RPG. A game which was rumored for Saturn and eventually official for Dreamcast. After over a year of speculation and rumor Capcom lets the cat out of the bag. This bimonthly RPG will have a total of 24 episodes, with the first chapter now known as El Dorado Gate, containing 7 out of the full 24.The character designs are done by Yoshitaka Amano, an artist who I'm personally fond of, so that's a good sign from my perspective. =P And the scenario is written by Flagship, who are most well-known for writing the Resident Evil storyline. Players can choose from one of 12 protagonists, tackling the chapters in any order they see fit. El Dorado is slated for a summer release in Japan. All the following chapters will be two months apart. And all of them will share a super low price tag of 2,800 yen. Now all we need is for Capcom or some other company to bring it over here. Piranha Bytes and Egmont Interactive have revealed their plans to release Gothic, a 3D Action RPG on the PC. The title has a unique social system that will affect gameplay somehow. Gothic should make an appearance at the next E3. It seems ION Storm has revamped their Deus Ex site by adding new content. Be forewarned that this site is one of those Macromedia Flash things with pop up windows and other 'cool effects'. Lastly is a little oddity about the RPG Vagrant Story, the tale of a wandering bum and his travels across the world. Actually it's really about a man named Ashley Riot who was framed and is seeking the person who is pulling the strings, but I've waited far too long to use that horrible joke here. =P Anyway, according to EBWorld, the box art for the domestic version of Vagrant Story lists the game as having 2 CDs. Since the original wasn't that long, one can assume that the second disc will be a demo.
