Arle's Adventure : The Magic Jewels
Game publisher Compile, known for their RPG series Madou Monogatari and its famous spin-off puzzle games Puyo puyo, will be releasing this March 31st, yet another RPG title. Arle no bouken ~ Mahou no jewel (Arle's Adventure ~ The Magic Jewel), developed for the Game Boy (Color).
This RPG, focused around the Puyo Puyo/Madou Monogatari series heroine Arle Nadja, is basically about encountering, catching, and raising monsters... (Any similarities to another existing game is purely coincidental!). Arle goes on a journey to save a small village's Puyos who have been turned into cards. She can tune up the monsters using the magic jewels she finds, and make them evolve. A combination of monster raising and card games, in a way.
For the series fans' pleasure, not only Arle, but also Satan, Rulue and all the usual Puyo Puyo cast, is back along with a few new characters.
Arle no bouken ~ Mahou no jewel is to be released on March 31st in Japan at a retail price of 4,200 yens. The game will fit on an 8-meg cartridge (a relatively big size for a Game boy game). As for most Puyo Puyo titles, a stateside release is very unlikely at this point.
