Story Info on Innocent Tears

Several weeks back I mentioned at the end of a brief update a game that was on the way to the Dreamcast platform. That mystery title was Innocent Tears. Little has been revealed of the game so far other than small hints about the story.

Now Global A Entertainment has seen fit to release a few more hints. The tale of Innocent Tears begins in the 22nd century, where human beings are caught up in a struggle between two races of angelic beings, the Angels and the Fallen Angels. In order to collect more psychic power, the Angels have taken to draining the life force out of people, naturally killing them in the process.

The protagonist is the leader of the opposing race of Fallen Angels who won't stand for this any longer, and eventually decides to take on the rival Angels directly. All the graphics are rendered in 3D. Enviroments during an encounter should be somewhat interactive, allowing players to hide behind obstacles, or even use surrounding objects in an attack, such as hitting barrels that will explode around nearby foes.

Innocent Tears should hit Japan sometime this Spring. After the slight disappointment that was Langrisser Millennium, this could be the strategy RPG to get on the Dreamcast since Black Matrix Advanced.
