Wednesday's News Update

Atlus is a company that has taken many risks in releasing games in the U.S. market, as most of them aren't as mainstream or flashy as their competitors. But those who play Atlus' translated games usually find them to be among the best.

Now according to Atlus' web page, a new RPG is on the way for the Playstation. Sadly no other hint is given as to what this game may be. Perhaps it will be the newly announced sequel to Brigandine? Or maybe it could be something completely unexpected like Persona 2? Or how about Growlanser? This RPG was published by Atlus in Japan and it certainly seems like the kind of game Atlus would release here.

For those of you who have recently started playing through Grandia on the Playstation, you may or may not be surprised to hear that a sequel has been in the works for awhile now. Grandia II was announced not too long after the release of the Dreamcast, but since then information has been rather scare.

Grandia II seemingly has no real ties to the first storyline other than title, as it takes place in a whole new world with a very different history. However the battle system will have similarities to that of the first game.

While none of this information is really new, more details on the game should surface as we get closer to its release later this year.
