Crystalis and Shen Mue info

The Gameboy Color has for awhile now been the host to several ressurected games. The majority of these titles so far have been non RPG related, but now NST is working on bringing Crystalis out for Nintendo's portable giant.

For those who aren't aware, Crystalis is a game that was developed by SNK for the NES. It had more than a striking similarity to The Legend of Zelda, but was nearly completely lost in the sea of NES titles available at the time. It was in a way a sleeper hit, and many who got to play it thought the game was worthwhile. Almost good enough to be compared to Zelda itself.

The NST conversion of Crystalis will be a near carbon copy of the NES original. However as a bonus NST is working on a few new additions. The most notable including new cutscenes, enhanced graphic detail, and digitized speech, something that isn't exactly common on the GBC to begin with. Crystalis has no set release date, but look forward to its appearance sometime early next year.

In an unrelated story, Yu Suzuki, the creator of Shen Mue, mentioned a few things relevant to the next scenario in the series. Mainly that Shen Mue's following chapter will have a great reduction in the amount of spoken dialouge, relying heavily on a characters' body language and improved facial expressions. This new scenario showcases vastly improved visuals as well.

The first chapter of Shen Mue will debut by the end of this year in Japan.
