Is Shen Mue already a best seller?Arguably the Dreamcast's biggest killer app ever, Shen Mue is already proving its worth. According to Sega of Japan, Shen Mue's preorders have already exceeded 100,000 copies, many of which were made over Sega's nifty online shopping site for games, Dreamcast Direct. Sega aims to push at least 500,000 or so copies of Shen Mue by March 2000. If these preorders are any indication at all, the Dreamcast is well on its way to hosting on popular title. There is also some news from the official Shen Mue page that enlightens us a bit on the fourth disc, the passport. It allows you to view your progress in the main game, listen to the music of Shen Mue, or even take a peek at the cinemas that are sure to be littered throughout the adventure. The most notable feature is that passport allows you to try your hand at any of the mini games in Shen Mue at will. Provided you have encountered them in the actual title that is. Lastly, there is a profile mode where all the character bios can be read, as well as displaying maps of the locales Ryo will visit. Shen Mue should hit the Dreamcast by the end of December. The gaming world may never be the same. Source: GameFan Online, Videogames.com |
