Final Fantasy VIII Hits One Million

Well it was bound to happen. According to Square EA Final Fantasy VIII has sold over one million copies across North America. This brings worldwide sales up to approximately six million units. Square has already made millions off the game and the craze doesn't look like it will slow down either.

In other news, it appears that Elemental Gimmick Gear will be on the way to the U.S. sooner than anticipated. This year to be accurate. Dreamcast owners around the nation can soon look forward to breaking in the new year piloting oddly designed mecha around, while pummeling enemies into submission. Look for E.G.G. to reach our shores by December 28.

Lastly, Monolith Productions and Valkyrie Studios have released a patch for Septerra Core! This patch upgrades any copy of the game to version 1.01, effectively fixing the multitude of small bugs that littered the game. Thankfully it also fixes that crash bug that sometimes made battles freeze up. I had to restart my PC dozens of times for that one.
