Breath of Fire 4 and Everquest InfoBreath of Fire 4 is on the way to the Playstation thanks to Capcom. For those who aren't familiar with the games, the Breath of Fire series originated on the SNES and later spawned a sequel which has gotten near cult status over the years. Some time later a new chapter in the series was released for the PSX. However, Breath of Fire 3 hardly made on impact on the majority of gamers who gave it a try, and it was destined to fall into obscurity.Now Capcom will give the series yet another go on the Playstation console with Breath of Fire 4. BOF4 so far seems to be not much more than a "save the princess" storyline, but like all RPGs it will more than likely evolve into an epic struggle as the game progresses. The graphics will be 2-D characters placed over 3-D backgrounds. Basically the norm for many of the recent games coming out. With the RPG market booming like never before, perhaps this is Capcom's chance to give this mostly great series the exposure it deserves. In a completely unrelated story EverQuest will now be on sale for a mere $40. 989 Studios hopes to capitalize on the holiday rush with this unbelieveably popular game. Seeing as EverQuest has done favorably so far, I don't see how this new price drop could be ineffective.
