Editorials!Before I begin, we at RPGFan apologize to those that waited patiently for their editorials to be posted. :POkay, to make things simple, I'll give a quick explanation of each of the editorials... I hope you have some popcorn and a glass of soda with you, cause this is long: First, we have an editorial that makes a comparison of 3 RPGs: Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete, Xenogears, and the infamous Final Fantasy 7. Abe makes some interesting comments about each of the games' strengths and weaknesses, and which is the best of the bunch. Second, editor Jaime brings you a very special and very humorous editorial, ranting about the infamous Bernard Stolar, former CEO of Sega of America. This one will either piss Stolar supporters off, or make you laugh a bit. ;) Third, we have an interesting rant by Zeek, commenting on the popularity of the latest fad Pokémon, particularly the movie itself that played very recently. Fourth, a counterpoint has been made, regarding Adam Lisbon's editorial about the music in Final Fantasy 7, written by Chris Kaplan. Personally folks, I think it's about time to say that opinions are like butts, everyone has one, and no one on this issue of music, whether it's Final Fantasy 7, or Albert Odyssey, is really right. :P Fifth, another counterpoint has been made of E-Chan's editorial, "In Defense of EsquE's Lunar Rating", in which Jacob Horner comments on the good and the bad regarding Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete. Sixth, Jacob Horner makes an interesting comparison between Shakespeare's "Macbeth", and Squaresoft themselves. Seventh, we have a short editorial, remarking on what was truly the golden era of RPGs, written by Vegeta245. Eighth, is a very long editorial remarking on graphics in RPGs, and how RPGs have become more graphic oriented rather than focusing upon the story, written by Kazyn. Ninth, we have another editorial, that actually acts as a counterpoint of the previous editorial, written by Cloudmage1, asking us why we do nothing but criticize games, rather than enjoy them for what they are. Next (tired of numbers :P), is an editorial by The Netherhawk, explaining his reasons for purchasing a Dreamcast. I guess this is a counterpoint of my "New Systems, Already?" editorial that I wrote eons ago, but of course, I was ignorant then. ;P And finally (whew!), an editorial written by Adam Lisbon, tells us that American complaints about games, RPGs in particular, are vain, due to where the games actually come from.
