Atlus Boards Sony's Gravy TrainAtlus is a company many familiar to the import scene know well. They have created several games based off of the Megami Tensei series in the past, as well as other more obscure titles ranging from platformer style gameplay, to even shooters. Some of which have never been seen in outside of Japan unless imported. Atlus has also become a driving force in the translation of games for thr U.S. market, and has taken several risks in the past with titles like Revelations: Persona and Thousand Arms.Now Atlus will take yet another step into the unknown with a new title for the Playstation 2. While this first game itself is really more of a simulation than an RPG, Atlus claims that approximately 5 more games will follow eventually. Some of these which are said to be sequels that take place in the Megami Tensei universe. Hopefully these new Megami Tensei games will make more of a splash outside of Japan. Maybe even enough to actually be noticed by the majority of the gaming public. Atlus's first Playstation 2 title will hit the stores in Japan sometime in March 2000. Source: Videogames.com |
