Final Fantasy VIII Movies

Well, we decided to give our readers the opportunity to download the great ending of Final Fantasy VIII in its entirety. Since the ending is fairly long, the movie is cut in 3 parts. Thanks to chv.net for the movies.

The original movies were in MPEG format and were really big (up to 50 megs) so we've converted them to AVI MPEG4 because MPEG4 has better compression. In order to further take the size down, we used MP3 for the sound. However, this might cause some compatibility problem for some people. First of all, if you're having problem playing the movies, you should download the latest version of Windows Media Player at the following link: Media Player 6.4.

If this doesn't work, you may want to try adding the MPEG4 codec manually by downloading the following file and following the instructions in the text file: MPEG4 Codec. A lot of our movies on the site use the MPEG4 codec so you should probably download those anyway to make sure that you can play any of our movies here on RPGFan. Unlike other sites, our goal is to make our movies as small as possible in size while still retaining very good quality and resolution. This is why we go with formats like MPEG4 which aren't as known as Quicktime for example but has better quality by far. Don't hesitate to contact us at webmaster@rpgfan.com if you have any problems playing those movies.

Okay, now that this is explained, if you want to download the movies, head right over here.
