Warcraft III RevealedIn a press conference at the European Computer Trade Show (ECTS), Warcraft III was announced by Blizzard Entertainment. While the other two Warcraft games have been traditionally strict strategy games, Warcraft III will be a "Role-Playing Strategy" (RPS), as they put it in their official press release.Instead of collecting resources and assembling huge forces, Warcraft III will focus on smaller units and adding a greater amount of interactivity among the characters. Aside from that, customization seems to be another way Warcraft III will provide deeper game play for its fans. According to the press release, players will be able to change to their liking the tile sets, character art, quests, mission objectives, unit types, AI, attributes, special abilities and spells. Even though the game was just announced, we have some pictures for you! At this time, only 1 screen shot has been released, along with 4 pieces of character art, and 3 wallpaper designs (all in 1024 x 768 resolution and 24-bit color). Will these changes in the next installment of the Warcraft series be welcomed by veteran fans? We will find out when this innovative PC title is released by the end of 2000.
