RPGFan News!

Well, as I promised, all of the things that weren't working after the server move are now fully functional again. As such, you can now go back to using webmaster@rpgfan.com to contact us, you can also download the Midis, Saved Games, Utilities and Movies and the Message Boards are also back with a vengeance as we took this opportunity to upgrade our message board script to the very latest version of RPGBoards (2.04). You'll find many new features in this version and I hope that you like it. A big thanks to SineSwiper once again for helping us with some problems we were having and you should check out the homepage of the Message Board creator at www.resonatorsoft.com. There is a lot of cool stuff there and you can also download his message board script for free despite the fact that it is without a doubt, the best message board script on the internet.

Although everything on the site seems to be fixed, there is ONE problem that sneaked up on us and it will require some fixing up on our part. Read below to find out what that is.

It seems like a lot of you have problems with your password not working anymore in the message boards. Basically, this is because this new server uses a different encryption method than the old server and as such, the encrypted password located in your profile will mean something completely different on this new server making your password different than what it was before. If you want your password reset to the original password, send me an e-mail with your username and password and I'll reset it for you. And by the way, if you're worried about giving me your password because you don't want me having access to your profile, let me just say that it really doesn't matter because since I'm the administrator of the message boards, I can get into anybody's account using the "master" password anyway so... You can can e-mail me at webmaster@rpgfan.com and I will let you know as soon as I change your password.

Sorry about all this trouble but I'm sure you prefer this to me cleaning out the profiles and thus making everybody lose their signatures and information.
