4 New EditorialsAfter 2 months of seeing no action, the editorials section is picking up a bit as we've got 4 new editorials for you. I'm sure some of those will get many counter editorials from other readers as they cover a lot of touchy subjects.The first one is an editorial called: "Criticism of Albert Odyssey" and I'm sure I don't have to tell you what it's about. Personally, I don't agree with his opinion of Albert Odyssey but I know that a lot of people don't really like the game much and my opinion isn't any better than anybody else. I think the part I disagree with the most is about the music. Personally, I thought AO had the best music of all 32-bit RPGs but like I said, everybody has different opinions about things. Sorry for hyping my review like this but this is the ONLY review I've ever made so it's not often that I can try to show off my reviews :P. The second editorial is written by RPGFan editor Synbios. His editorial talks about system bias and how he thinks that nobody can really be unbiased when chosing a system. You can click here to check out the editorial. We also have an editorial from a reader called: "What's wrong with FF today!". This editorial deals with the fact that the latest Final Fantasy games don't have enough distinction between the characters in battles and how this is killing the series. Click here to check it out. And last but not least is an editorial from RPGFan editor E-Chan. This editorial is a defense of EsquE's review of Lunar Silver Star Story Complete that has received some criticism from readers on our message boards. You can find this editorial by clicking here. By the way, I'd like to remind people that EsquE's review of Lunar SSSC was really great and that his final mark (87%) is a very good score by his grading standard. People should stop caring so much about the actual "percentage" that was given to the game and they should actually READ the review and if they did, they would have seen that EsquE considers Lunar one of the best RPG he's ever played. However, being a thorough reviewer, he pointed out some of the problems with the game and if people can't take a little criticism of their favorite game, they should stop reading reviews because they obviously don't have a clue about games. Lunar SSSC is my favorite game of all time but I have no problems pointing out some of its shortcomings (especially the poor sound programming that reduces Iwadare's incredible compositions to little Casio keyboards quality). Anyway, I just thought I'd take the opportunity to voice my opinion on the matter since the subject has been brought up. |
