At Square's annual meeting of stockholders held last weekend in Japan, Square announced their plans to release 12 PlayStation games this fiscal year. Given the fact that this appears to leave a couple slots open for games that have not yet been announced, the speculation continues that one of these titles may be a long-awaited sequel to the SNES hit Chrono Trigger. Rumors on another yet to be confirmed title point to a traditional rpg by the name of Vagrant Story.
Secondly, when questioned about their plans for possibly developing software for Nintendo's next console, "Project Dolphin." Square stated that they are looking into the hardware, and they did express intrest in developing titles for consoles other than the PlayStation 2, however the DreamCast was not discussed.
