Final Fantasy Collection Confirmed for US Release

Square Electronic Arts has confirmed that the Final Fantasy Collection, consisting of the Super Famicom classics Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy V, and Final Fantasy VI, will be released for the Playstation in the US. It will be called the Final Fantasy Anthology in the US.

Unfortunately, Square EA has also confirmed that Final Fantasy IV will be omitted from the Final Fantasy Anthology. This is sad news, especially considering that Final Fantasy IV has already been released in the US before (for the SNES); therefore, it's already been translated.

At least Final Fantasy V, previously unreleased in the US, will finally hit these shores.

Final Fantasy Anthology is scheduled for a November 1999 US release.
