Arc The Lad IIIArc The Lad III, the upcoming newest installment in the excellent Arc The Lad series, is beginning to look better and better. The graphics in Arc The Lad and Arc The Lad II certainly weren't bad, but they also weren't quite up to the level of detail of most 32-bit 2D graphics. Arc The Lad III makes the jump into the world of polygonal graphics, and, judging from the early screenshots available at the Gaming Intelligence Agency, it looks like substandard detail may very well be a thing of the past for this series.Some plot details were also revealed. Arc The Lad III will take place several years after Arc The Lad II, and revolves around a 14-year-old boy named Alec. Other characters revealed were Alec's best friend Lutz and a female character named Cheryl. It is unknown whether Arc (the protagonist from Arc The Lad) or Elc (the protagonist from Arc The Lad II) will make appearances. Arc The Lad III slated for a Japanese release this fall.
