Square Enix, just like most other developers in the world, find themselves between console generations. The first line of full-fledged RPGs are just hitting the Xbox 360, and are still a ways away on the PlayStation 3 and Wii. However, both the PSP and the DS are smack dab in the middle of their life cycles. As such, every single one of Square Enix's playable games at E3 was on a handheld platform. We had a chance to take a look at both the DS and PSP offerings, as well as to chat with producers of both Front Mission (DS) and Final Fantasy XI: Wings of the Goddess (PC/PS2/Xbox 360). We'd like to thank all of the staff at Square Enix for this excellent opportunity.
