We just passed the end of the decade, which means we also just wrapped up another year. You know what that means: it's time to dig through our favorites from 2019 and pick our favorites! And what a year it's been. While it's mostly been defined by high-profile sequels and excellent ports, there have also been some new IPs that grabbed us as well.
As in years past, our Games of the Year coverage will be split into three parts. First, eleven of our editors have written about their personal favorites from the year, and as always, there's an amazing mix of titles, both from 2019 and ones that our editors just got their hands on this year. We also have takes on 2019 from Retro Encounter and Random Encounter, so go give a listen to both of those as well!
Finally, we have our Overall Awards, where we look at the winners and runner-ups in such categories as Best Action RPG, Best Localization, Best Supporting Character, and of course, Game of the Year. While there are certainly some winners I'm sure most of you can predict, rest assured, there are some real surprises here! Oh, and let's not forget, you get to see what your favorites were as well, as we include the results of the Readers' Choice voting.
We hope you enjoy reading about our final results as much as we enjoyed compiling them!
