Spells, Yells, and Knells
One of the great joys for us here at the Fable studio was seeing the new spells plopped into the game one by one. Not only did they provide the player with novel toys, but as they went in one by one we noticed certain synergies and play-styles developing. We now share these with you: |
Ninja Hulk: Berserk + Assassin Rush
Who loves the Hulk? Of course, we all do! What's not to love about a thick-necked behemoth thundering around in his pants, all shouty and shilly? Skinny wizards will occasionally feel more than a little irked to find themselves bested by some sporty jock-type, so Berserk allows your hero to beef himself up massively, at will. Surrounded by smoky red rage-haze, the newly buffed hero will do massive damage in melee combat - even with his fists. In addition, his enraged state will cause him to fight faster too. Assassin Rush is the smug player's favourite. One gesture and swoooosh - you're behind your foe, ready to hit him where the sun don't shine. Hang around for a second to wait for him to turn around, and then... swoosh! Do it again! Dance, fool, dance your turny clumsy dance! If you're the impatient type, you can even use it to whiz through the world faster than a speeding mullet, taking the battle to whomsoever you choose, when you choose it. The problem with Berserk was always that it wore off just as you were running toward Mr Smarty Jock Pants — just when you were about to scream: "How big do you feel now?!" Meeeeeeoooooppp. Pop. Down to Nerdsville we go again and Bap! Mallet in the face. While Berserked you can make the best use of your bloodied frenzy. Even if they try to flee there is nowhere to hide! You are too fast for them! Swoosh! Hullllk Smaaaaash! |
