When we walked into the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center for our first-ever MAGFest (most of us having missed the previous eleven), one thought echoed in the minds of our illustrious RPGFan editors, "We don't belong here." The 12th annual Music and Gaming Festival took place in an absolutely gorgeous hotel, and was packed to the gills with fascinating panels on a variety of topics, clever cosplayers, opportunities to put faces to names, impromptu jams among musicians, and, of course, face-meltingly awesome stage performances from a variety of artists. While opportunities to conduct "work" for RPGFan were relatively few on the ground, we did manage to snag an interview with the lovely Zac and Tomoko of Final Stage, write up some thoughts on Discord Games' upcoming Metroidvania-alike Chasm, and, of course, take lots of photos of what a great time we had. Check out our coverage of MAGFest 12 below!
Stephen's Note: Also remember — if you haven't moshed to Jesters of the Moon from Final Fantasy IX, you haven't lived.
