You shall not... tell this tired joke again!
"The new Paladin class can be built as either a healer or tank."

With the latest expansion to Neverwinter, Cryptic Studios seeks to bring the Xbox One version of its free to play MMORPG into parity with the more developed PC version. Starting September 8th, they will introduce a host of new content and updates including raising the level cap from 60 to 70, a new Paladin class, four leveling zones, epic content and artifact weapons.

Because this expansion is already live on PC, the Xbox One version will have a number of small performance improvements and balancing tweaks based on player feedback from the earlier version. It should be an easier and more streamlined experience, overall. This is particularly important because the update also introduces factions and open PvP. PvE players needn't worry however, as PvP only takes place in specific zones where you are marked upon entering.

The new Paladin class can be built as either a healer or tank; it was the character I got to try in the demo, which is lucky for me since those roles are right up my alley.

Much of the epic content and end game revolves around an area called Icewind Dale. There, players can collect the powerful yet dangerous Black Ice (the product of a mad wizard's spell gone wrong) to greatly enhance their powerful gear and artifacts. Each area also has new progression in the form of boons: special effects that unlock as you complete quests or complete other objectives in the area. For example, in Icewind Dale you must increase your reputation in the town to unlock new and better boons.

All in all it looks like Cryptic Studios has plenty of content to satisfy Xbox One players in the latest update. Neverwinter: Elemental Evil goes live on September 8th, and current players get double experience until the update drops.
