Eliza is probably just a name to most people, but to some it's a little more than that. Between 1964 and 1966, ELIZA, a natural language processing computer program, was created to demonstrate how futile it was for humans to hold conversations with machines. This serves as the inspiration for the game Eliza, from revered puzzle game creators Zachtronics.

In the game, the titular device is an AI counseling program, and follows a girl named Evelyn who is a genius programmer that is trying to find their purpose in life. It sounds utterly fascinating and the inspiration alone is very different from other adventure games or visual novels. The game came out just last week, so if you're interested, you should check out Bob Richardson's review right here to see whether the game delivers on its fascinating concept!
