Ding dong! It's for you! Level-5's president, Akihiro Hino, revealed in an interview that the next entry in the Ni no Kuni series is currently in development!
The move for a sequel comes as no surprise. Level-5 continues to make the series into a bigger franchise. The first game is being ported to Switch and a remaster is being done for PC and PlayStation 4.
The release date for the latest Ni no Kuni game is uncertain, but expect it to be sometime after the anime film. The film premieres in Japan on August 23rd, 2019. Level-5 also expects to release a Ni no Kuni mobile game at some point as well.
