Along with additional details on the upcoming tabletop RPG!
05.10.19 - 10:08 PM

Fan-favorite RPG developer Obsidian's Isometric RPG Pillars of Eternity 2 recently celebrated its first year anniversary with the addition of a new content patch. Update 5.0 provides new story content for conversations with the Gods Eothas and Woedica, a streamlined ship UI, a fully developed turn-based mode, and a special challenge called The Ultimate.

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire

In The Ultimate, players will have to complete the game on every single God challenge, in Solo Mode, on the Path of the Damned (the hardest combat difficulty), and Trial of Iron, which is a single save file with permadeath enabled. The first fifty players who complete The Ultimate (and send video evidence of their playthrough to theultimate@obsidian.net) will receive a handcrafted patch from the developer. The first twelve players will, along with the patch, have their character's details engraved on a wall in the Obsidian offices.

Additionally, new details about the ruleset for the physical Pen and Paper Pillars of Eternity RPG can be found at https://eternity.obsidian.net/.
