Nintendo has released details on new features, add-ons, and the hotly anticipated Joker character DLC in a 15-minute video published on their official YouTube channel today. You can check out the video below to see all of the details firsthand, or read on to get the scoop on the new additions!

Joker from Persona 5 will finally join the battle as paid downloadable content, complete with a new stage inspired by Mementos which will change its aesthetics to match with the 11 new music tracks spanning the aural delights of Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5. During the battle, additional members of the Phantom Thieves will show up in the background to cheer on their leader as he makes use of his knife, gun, and his Persona-welding skills — complete with an all-out attack Final Smash to turn the tide in battle!

Mii Fighter costumes based on Persona 4's protagonist, Yu Narukami, the protagonist from Persona 3, and hats based on both Morgana and Teddie will be made available separately for players looking to represent their favorite Persona personalities in battle.

Finally, the video also revealed that new features like a video editor tool, the return of the Stage Builder mode (thus far absent in Ultimate), and compatibility with the previously announced smartphone companion app, Smash World, will all be added to the game as part of update version 3.0 on April 17th. Players can purchase the paid add-on contents separately, as Challenger Pack 1, or as part of the Fighters Pass, which will also entitle them to all upcoming fighters, stages, and music tracks.
