CD Projekt RED has unveiled Crimson Curse, the first expansion to GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, set to bring over a hundred new cards to the online competitive card game on March 28th, 2019. Check out the stylish announcement trailer below!

Crimson Curse takes its narrative cues from a long-dreaded event visiting the world of The Witcher, known as the Blood Moon, with a higher vampire known as Dettlaff unleashing it, and all the corruption and pain it holds, on the waking world.

Mechanically, players will be able to access 31 neutral cards and 14 faction specific cards to the factions currently within GWENT, confirmed via the official website. New mechanical effects will also be introduced when Crimson Curse launches, such as the Shield status (various cards will protect other cards from instances of first-time damage) or the Bonding effect (various units will buff themselves when they are paired together), allowing for even more strategies to change the flow of battle.

GWENT: The Witcher Card Game is available for Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
