We here at RPGFan are big fans of the Dragon Quest series, especially Dragon Quest XI. Of course, we were ecstatic to hear the new details for Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of An Elusive Age - Definitive Edition at the recent Nintendo Direct!

Originally released on PlayStation 4 and PC, the enhanced version will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch and feature a number of new features. For starters, the field and battle music is now fully orchestrated, though players do have the option to switch to the original music. Another sound option players have is the voice acting: you will be able to choose between English or Japanese. Each party member will have their own time to shine in the spotlight with newly added stories. If battles seemed slow before, players now have the option to speed up battles.

Lastly, a feature we missed out on in the Japan-exclusive 3DS version, players will be able to freely switch between 16-bit and HD graphics!
