Yoshi-P Gives His Thoughts On The Next Final Fantasy
A little less final, and a little more fantasy?
02.07.19 - 11:50 PM

During the recent Paris Fan Festival, Final Fantasy XIV director and producer Naoki Yoshida spoke at a Q&A panel pertaining to his beloved RPG and the upcoming expansion pack, Shadowbringers. However, when asked about the future of the Final Fantasy series, Yoshi-P had some interesting thoughts!

While Yoshida feels that a new MMO entry in the series won't be necessary, as long as Final Fantasy XIV does well, Yoshida tell's us what he'd like to see in future entries, stating, "On that note, personally speaking, I'd like to see a Final Fantasy that is straightforward fantasy, one that doesn't have much machinery, and with no mecha in it. After all, we're having trouble with the Garlean Empire being too powerful. Ah, okay, that was a bad joke."

While Final Fantasy XVI may not be seen in the immediate future, as we still have DLC scheduled for Final Fantasy XV, and the eventual release of the Final Fantasy VII remake, it's nice to see the potential ideas for the upcoming game!
