Dragon Quest XI S Teaser Trailer Unveiled, Confirmed for 2019 Release

Square Enix announced at Jump Festa 2019 that Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age S will release sometime in 2019 in Japan. A teaser trailer was released alongside the announcement that you can view below.

The game will be the first in the series to feature optional Japanese voice acting. Listed below are the cast members and the characters they voice:

  • Erik (voiced by Kouki Uchiyama)

  • Veronica (voiced by Maaya Uchida)

  • Serena (voiced by Sora Amamiya)

  • Sylvanado (voiced by Masaya Onasaka)

  • Rab (voiced by Mugihito)

  • Jade (voiced by Ami Koshimizu)

In addition, there are some alterations to the game's story. It goes without saying that there will be some minor spoilers ahead, so read on with caution.

There will more choices on who the protagonist can marry. While Erik and Hendrick are not marriage options, they can be chosen as partners to live with.

There will be a "surprise" regarding Dragon Quest XI S on January 1st, 2019. Later that month, a livestream featuring producer Hokuto Okamoto, game designer and scenario writer Yuji Horii and others.
