Square Enix and Pokelabo have announced that smartphone RPG SINoALICE is coming to the West in 2019, courtesy of international publisher Nexon. Check out a recent trailer of the title, via Nexon's YouTube channel, below!

Directed by luminary Yoko Taro (NieR: Automata, Drakengard), the game revolves around a re-interpretation of classic fairy tales melding classic storybook characters, such as Snow White, Red Riding and others, with a darker narrative, truer perhaps to their initial origins in real-world history. Players will navigate dangerous areas, fight monsters and unravel the mysteries around a central narrative of finding their creators.

Personally, I think it sounds like we're in for an intriguing time, and I'm all for more Yoko Taro projects coming to the West.

SINoALICE is available currently in Japan for iOS and Android devices. Details regarding the 2019 launch, including pre-registration details, will be released in the coming months. Stay tuned to RPGFan for all things SINoALICE!
