There are some big game releases this November as the industry gears up for the holiday season. While we're not quite at that point, there are still several games that are well worth your time. We've got another round of indie ports coming to Nintendo Switch, at least one criminally underrated Final Fantasy game getting another chance to shine, and more. So, let's get into it, starting with...

Moonlighter - Switch (November 5th)

We already covered Moonlighter back when it launched in May for PS4, XB1, and PC. Now, the dungeon crawler/merchant sim is setting up shop on Nintendo Switch on the 5th, with the physical release on the 9th. I'm sure you've got room for one more roguelike in your busy schedule. Speaking of:

Rogue Legacy is also releasing on Switch this week. This "rogue-lite" game has players exploring a randomly generated dungeon, dying, and then sending in one of their characters' progeny to continue the legacy. Players can keep gold from each run to upgrade their next character, lending a sense of progression to the proceedings. We were pretty big fans of this one back in the day, and a portable version is never a bad thing.

World of Final Fantasy Maxima - PS4, XB1, Switch, PC (November 6th)

World of Final Fantasy was a neat little game back in 2016, offering a gameplay throwback to the glory days of Final Fantasy mixed with a unique twist on the Pokémon formula. Players were able to collect myriad Final Fantasy monsters to form their party, as well as summon chibi-fied Final Fantasy heroes and villains in battle. Now, the game is getting a bevy of new content with World of Final Fantasy Maxima, which will bring the game to Xbox One and Switch for the first time (unfortunately, the Vita version is being left in the dust...RIP).

Minecraft Story Mode: Season 2 - Switch (November 6th)

This one's a little bittersweet, what with the closure of Telltale Games. Apparently the defunct studio has at least one more release left with the second season of Minecraft Story Mode hitting Nintendo Switch on the 6th of November. Hopefully, if dead studios can still release games, they can figure out a way to recompense the workers who were let go without suitable notice or severance pay.

Syberia 1 & 2 - Switch (November 8th)

Ah, now the adventure is complete and all of the Syberia series can be had on the Switch as of November 8th. The first two games are available as a set on Thursday, and those looking for an engaging, well-written point-and-click with a Northern twist will want to give it a try. Make your way across Europe and find out about the mysterious Syberia with Kate Walker wherever you happen to be!

Chasm Xbox One Screenshot

Chasm - Xbox One (November 9th)

Chasm is another game we covered earlier this year, releasing to... shall we say a mixed reception for PC, PS4, and Vita back in July. The Xbox One version of the game was curiously absent at that time: however, the procedurally-generated, whip-slinging action will soon be present on Microsoft's home console.

And that's a wrap for this week, folks! As always, stay tuned to RPGFan for more of the greatest RPG coverage.
