Square Enix introduced the multiplayer aspects of Dragon Quest Builders 2 in the latest Weekly Jump. Though it was previously known up to four players can play together, Square Enix is finally opening up about the details.

Dragon Quest Builders 2

Multiplayer takes place exclusively in an area called Vacant Island. This area is unlocked as you progress through the main game. You and three other players can work together to build whatever springs from your imagination! However, if you just want to show off your own creation, players have the ability to only allow other players to view the island. No fear of someone swooping in and destroying your creations!

Besides building, multiplayer in Dragon Quest Builders 2 hosts a few other features. For example, using a dresser, you are able to change your appearance at any time. You also have a sweet bug-like vehicle to drive you and your friends around the island. Lastly, players are encouraged to communicate with each other using a variety of gestures.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 releases in Japan on December 20th for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. A Western release date has yet to be announced, but we will keep you posted for when that changes!
