Developer Telltale Games and publisher Skybound Entertainment have released a new teaser trailer for The Walking Dead: The Final Season, showcasing a small snippet of series protagonist Clementine embarking upon another danger-filled journey. Check it out below!
As the end of the acclaimed series, players will decide the closing chapter of Clementine's story, as she fights against the threat of the undead, witnesses again the viciousness of humanity, and tries to protect those she has come to love. A new setting will come in the form of a school secluded, and with that comes new characters, new interactions, and new forms of danger.
A new camera system will allow for greater immersion, set in a place just over the shoulder of Clementine, forgoing the series' third-person camera perspective. Telltale Games also promises unscripted combat encounters with undead that bring a sense of tension replete with what fans of the franchise have come to expect.
Telltale Games has promised both support for 4K resolution and high dynamic range options for both televisions and devices (such as the Xbox One X or the PlayStation Pro) that can support it. The first episode and the entire season will also be multi-lingual, with a complete dub in French, German, Latin-American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese and subtitles in French, German, Latin-American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Russian, and both traditional and simplified Chinese.
Players will also be able to see the first gameplay demonstration for The Walking Dead: The Final Season at 8 AM, PST (Pacific Standard Time) on the 20th of July on Telltale's official Youtube channel. Pre-orders for The Walking Dead: The Final Season are available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One for $19.99 (USD), with an eventual release on Nintendo Switch later this year.
