How long until TGS?
06.24.18 - 5:31 PM

E3 has come and gone, and of course, we are all left with that empty feeling as we wait for the next big gaming event. But fear not, loyal readers. We still have a lot of E3 coverage heading your way. As our awesome show floor attendees finish putting out all their excellent previews, we still have some non-E3 news to bring to you guys and gals. Don't worry, we will have an official E3 wrap-up soon for all the E3 news and previews. This week, we have news from John Alas, Peter Triezenberg, Trent Argirov, and Corey Hall.

Well, after all the exciting Kingdom Hearts III news at E3 (like that release date that may or may not end up being the official release), we are still getting details after the show has ended. Now we know there will be DLC for the game and that there will be a recap for everyone that has no clue what the hell is going on in Kingdom Hearts. I am pretty sure that's 95% of the people that have ever played the games, including myself.

Damn. September is packed with so many good RPGs, and now one more has joined the fray with Valkyria Chronicles 4. It is kind of annoying to know that we will never get to play 3 in English, but the fact that Sega hasn't given up on this franchise in the West is very reassuring. Also, when you preorder, you get a controller skin with a dog on it. Best preorder bonus ever!

Speaking of other games coming out in September, Dragon Quest XI is on its way as well. Unfortunately, the Switch version is still in development thanks to a few snafus with how the Unreal Engine runs on the Switch... and development kit issues. But have no fear, it is on its way!

Well, it didn't take long after E3 for Bandai Namco to announce a new Tales of game. It also helped that the Tales of Festival was the weekend after E3. Not much is known yet about the new game, but it's likely we will get more information at TGS later this year. In the meantime, Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will get a release later this year.

Preview by Trent Argirov

Ok, I needed to put at least one E3 preview in Week in Review, and boy is it a good one. Trent Argirov got to see a 50-minute uncut gameplay demo of the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077, and boy did he write a dandy of a preview. If you want an in-depth look at a game no one else really got to see outside of the media, then read through Trent's preview. It is almost like being there yourself!
