Deck13 is out of the picture.

Publisher CI Games has announced that Lords of the Fallen 2, the follow-up to 2014's Souls-alike Lords of the Fallen, is being developed by Defiant Studios. This studio was founded in 2016 by David Grijns and Roland Lesterlin, both of whom worked on Just Cause 3, and will be moving ahead on Lords of the Fallen 2 without the involvement of the original developers, Deck13.
According to CI Games' CEO, Marek Tymiński, the company spoke to a number of developers and heard their pitches for a Lords of the Fallen sequel.
"We finally decided to move forward with Defiant because we were impressed with their game concept, production expertise, and the pedigree of their developers." Lords of the Fallen 2 is currently in development for "consoles and PC" and was originally slated for release last year: however, it would seem the negotiations for a new developer have set the game's release back a ways.
