Sega/Atlus had a bevy of playable demo stations at their E3 space, including Shining Resonance Refrain, a remake of 2014's Japan-only action RPG Shining Resonance. Shining Resonance Refrain is part of Sega's Shining series, and Refrain marks the first worldwide Shining release in over 10 years.

The beginning of Shining Resonance Refrain is a rescue mission, in which a knight named Sonia and a Dragoneer mage named Kirika brave an enemy prison to rescue Yuma, a silver-haired young man with a mysterious power. After confronting a songstress and Dragon Master named Excella, Yuma transforms into the Shining Dragon, a force so powerful that Excella decides to retreat. So that's why he was the target of a rescue mission.

Shining Resonance Refrain releases worldwide on July 10th this year on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One. The title features English and Japanese dual audio, save for the Japanese-only summon songs. RPG fans, Shining fans, Tony Taka fans, and fans of big ol' anime dragons ought to rejoice.
