The self-contained adventure will follow the footsteps of a ten year old boy named Chris, possessing an adventurous imagination and a love of all things superheroes. Set during a single Saturday, Chris is set to experience an adventure unlike anything else that he's experienced thus far.

Square Enix and DONTNOD Entertainment have also confirmed that 'The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit' is "the first step towards" the second season of Life Is Strange.

Michel Koch and Raoul Barbet, the Creative Directors of Life Is Strange, spoke to this point, saying that this standalone adventure was something "always imagined" for the Life is Strange universe, as both a concept and as narratives able to be told within it: that of diversity between both characters and story.

The best thing about this standalone adventure? It's completely free, launching on June 26th digitally for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC systems.

Personally, I'm excited for narrative threads being woven for the eventual continuation of Life is Strange's central story, and those trailers have sold me on the charm of Chris and his coming adventure.
