Coming This Week, 05/07/18
Another exciting week of great RPGs and Visual Novels.
05.07.18 - 9:41 PM

Hey, everyone! This is Gino, here with another Coming This Week. We weren't around last week because... well, there wasn't anything to talk about. We are making it up this week with a bunch of new releases. Let's go!

Darkest Dungeon: Ancestral Edition - PS4 (May 8th)

Man, I need to play this game. 16 playable classes, CRPG elements, permadeath, and an awesome hand-drawn style? Sign me up. Well, with the Ancestral Edition making its way to the PS4, I might pick it up. This edition will come with both of the game's main expansions: The Crimson Court and The Shieldbreaker. Check out our review and gallery of the game in the meantime.

Darkest Dungeon

Destiny 2: Warmind - PS4, XB1, PC (May 8th)

Oh, look, a Destiny 2 expansion. I could make jokes, but Anthem is coming around the corner anyways... aaand I've been fired. So, Warmind will include new weapons, armor, locations, raids, and more. This will be released alongside version 1.2.0 of the game and will kick off Destiny 2's Season 3 content. For the 100 or so players who are still playing... hey, it turns out the last firing was a joke and now I'm up for review. Well, while that is happening, check out the gallery.

Megadimension Neptunia VIIR - PS4, PSVR (May 8th)

Dang, from Destiny to Neptunia. I might actually get fired at this rate if I don't keep my mouth shut. Anyways, the "long-anticipated" VR version of Neptunia VII is coming out on PS4. With updated graphics and mechanics, this game will scratch Neptunia fans' itch. We do have a review coming out, but while you wait for that, check out our gallery.

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire - PC, Mac, Linux (May 8th)

A lot of games are coming out tomorrow, but one I am both curious and worried about is Pillars of Eternity 2. While it did have a very successful crowdfunding campaign, I am hoping it sells well, because Obsidian is so good at making RPGs that they deserves it. There definitely isn't any bias here, no matter what the tone of the above previews were... heh. Check out the gallery, please.

Pillars of Eternity 2

Steins;Gate 0 - PC (May 8th)

Last but not least, we have the list's sole visual novel, Steins;Gate 0. Honestly, this game is fun too. Time travel, science, and other weird stuff. Normal Japanese visual novel shenanigans. Players who already own Steins;Gate 1 can get Steins;Gate 0 for 10% off, so it's a good time to get into the series. Also, the anime is running, so good news for that. Check out our review and gallery while you're catching up.

Steins;Gate 0

Well, this has been fun. I should probably use some time travel myself. Maybe I'll go back in time to before I wrote this article... or go forward five years to see if Final Fantasy XV is done receiving updates. As always, please keep coming to RPGFan for the latest and greatest RPG coverage.
