Monster Hunter: World Becomes Capcom's Highest Selling Game Ever
Better start hunting some game, huh?
03.06.18 - 12:03 AM

Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter: World has shipped 7.5 million units worldwide, making it the highest selling game that Capcom has ever produced.

Monster Hunter World

Capcom has mentioned this is due to World being the first game in the series to have both a global simultaneous release and an ambitious promotional campaign. Now, while worldwide shipments don't indicate physically sold copies (only digitally sold ones), it's hard to say what the actual numbers look like. Capcom did also mention that the game now has 7 million players, so it still breaks Street Fighter 2's 6.3 million record back on the SNES.

Monster Hunter World X Street Fighter

Monster Hunter: World's PC version has yet to be released, so this number may increase drastically by the end of the year.

Monster Hunter World is currently released on PS4 and XB1. To learn more about the game, check out our review.
