Fans of gothic horror and the macabre have a lot to look forward to with the critically acclaimed, turn-based RPG Darkest Dungeon coming to Nintendo Switch later this month.

Developer Red Hooks Studios confirmed, via a post on their website, that Darkest Dungeon will be available to purchase via the Nintendo eShop come January 18th, costing players $24.99 USD. Alongside the base game, the first two DLC packs, The Crimson Court and Shieldbreaker will also be available for purchase, at $9.99 USD and $3.99 USD respectively.

The second expansion for Darkest Dungeon, known as The Color of Madness, has also been confirmed for eventual release upon the Nintendo Switch alongside the PlayStation 4, Vita and PC.

Personally, as someone who has sunk a good seventy or so hours into the PC version of Darkest Dungeon, I'll happily pay another sum to have the option of playing this gem on the Nintendo Switch. More gothic horror on the go cannot be a bad thing!
